This hotel rests by the banks of the Arno river in one of the most exclusive areas of Florence.
Most rooms offer superb views of the river or distinctive red tiled rooftops of the city, stretching to the surrounding hills. The hotel walls are adorned with reproductions of Italian art from the Renaissance to Modigliani. The reading room and bar offer cosy areas to unwind after a day of sightseeing.
The beautiful Basilica di Santa Croce, resting place of Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli and Rossini, the Bargello Museum, Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio are all within walking distance.

By car from the A1:
- Exit for Firenze Sud and continue for 7 kilometres to the other side of the river.
- Do not exit the street until the very end. At the red light turn left along the river.
- Continue straight for about one kilometre and at the 2nd bridge turn right onto Viale Amendola.
- Take the 1st left onto Viale Duca Degli Abruzzi, then turn left again onto Viale Giovine Italia.
- Turn right along the river and after 200 metres you will find the Hotel Ritz entrance.
From the train station:
- You can get a taxi that will bring you to the hotel in 5 minutes.
From the airport:
- We suggest that you get a taxi which will take you to the hotel in 20 minutes.
